Aodi Residence (Architecture Farm)
Picture
With the participation of ten architects from Taiwan and eleven from abroad, the Next Gene 21 will construct 176 weekend residences in the Aodi area on the northeastern coast of Taiwan.

Akihisa Hirata seeks to design architecture with life and vitality. The birth of "Architectural Farm", similar to planting architectural seeds into the mud, allows artificial and nature to coexist in the pre-existed environment, experiencing the vertical growth of architecture like a plant, at the same time imitates a natural existence, conveying it through "folds".

Structurally it is a folded plate with very limited number of columns to control deflection.
