Busan is South Korea's second largest city after the national capital Seoul. Located on the southeastern most tip of the Korean Peninsula, Busan is also home to South Korea's largest port. Haeundae District is the most populous of Busan's sixteen districts and counties. Haeundae District is a popular destination for South Koreans and is home to one of the country's most well-known beaches: Haeundae Beach. In addition to a growing number of beachside resorts, the district has also experienced significant residential development. Home to many of South Korea's wealthy elite, Haeundae District has also attracted sizable foreign investment.
Haeundae District is also home to Centum City, a large multi-project redevelopment located on the former site of Busan Suyeong Airport (relocated and renamed to Gimhae International Airport). Centum City is a popular shopping destination and is home to the world's largest department store, Shinsegae Centum City. Situated on a site near Shinsegae Centum City and also the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center, Centum Star Residences is a residential real estate development in Centum City by POSCO E&C. Centum Star Residences is comprised of three towers ranging from 51 to 61 stories. In total there are 848 residential units. In addition to numerous amenities for residents, the multi-level podium houses retail stores. Centum Star Residences was completed in 2008. |
