The Daan Sports Center is a new addition to one of several public exercise and recreation facilities serving Taipei and New Taipei City. The center features a multi-level design with all sporting facilities located indoor for all-weather usage. The center features a full-size swimming pool, a basketball court, full cardio and weight training centers, badminton courts, squash courts, a dance studio, a rollerblading rink, putting ranges, and pool tables. The variety of exercise and recreation facilities attract a wide variety of visitors and increase overall public health. Located in a very seismically active area, the center utilizes a Taiwan-designed innovation: buckling-restrained braces, developed by a professor from Taiwan's leading university.
