Far Eastern Group Mega City Shopping Mall & Office Tower
Far Eastern Group Mega City Shopping Mall & Office Tower
Banqiao District is one of Taiwan's most densely populated areas. Located just west of the national capital Taipei, Banqiao is one of New Taipei City's most conveniently located districts. In addition to being home to New Taipei City's city hall, Banqiao District is also the city's most commercially active district. The area was naturally a prime choice for Far Eastern Group to develop their newest mixed-use project.
Far Eastern Group (FEG) is one of Taiwan's largest conglomerates. Since its formation more than 60 years ago FEG has diversified and expanded into numerous industries and countries. FEG's Construction Business includes both development and construction divisions and has completed both private and public projects. FEG's Retail Business owns and operates 56 shopping malls and supermarkets in Taiwan and China (and additional e-commerce sites as well). The Far Eastern Group Mega City Shopping Mall & Office Tower was developed in two phases. Phase one is the 11-story Mega City Shopping Mall. In addition to cosmetics, fashion, lifestyle and home products, the mall also features numerous dining options and a movie theater. Mega City is New Taipei City's largest shopping mall. Phase two is a 50-story office tower featuring a unique curved facade. The mall and office components both feature prominent glass facades, with contrasting angular and curved building shapes. The project was completed in 2013. |
