Jung District is the smallest and least populous of Seoul's 25 districts. The district is the historical center of the city (jung means central in English) with numerous historic buildings side by side with large-scale real estate developments. The central location and convenient access to the rest of Seoul along with the cultural significance of the area have resulted in Jung District being one the city's core central business districts. Several well-known companies have their headquarters in the area. The majority of the hotels in Jung District are 3-star or fewer, with a small number of 4 and 5-star hotels. Golden Tulip M Hotel is a 430 room 4-star hotel located in the western portion of Jung District. Golden Tulip is the 4-star hotel brand of French hospitality group Louvre Hotels Group. The project was completed in 2016.
