Xinyi District is located in the eastern portion of Taiwan's national capital Taipei. The district is home to the city government and mayor's office, and is also Taipei's core central business and financial district. Much of Xinyi District is comprised of a sizable redevelopment zone with clearly laid out residential and commercial areas, public spaces, and government buildings. The main commercial area is home to several department stores and is Taipei's premier shopping district. Fubon Life Insurance Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Taiwan's second largest financial institution, secured a long-term lease on one of the last remaining parcels of land (officially designated A10) in the commercial area.
The development project at A10 is comprised of a 22-story tower and a 6-story podium. The tower and top half of the podium levels house Humble House Taipei, a 235 room 4-star hotel. The bottom half of the podium levels house Breeze Song Gao, a shopping center. Breeze Group is one of Taiwan's largest shopping center owners and operators. The project received Diamond Certification (the highest level) under Taiwan's green building standard EEWH (Taiwan's equivalent of LEED). The project was completed in 2013. |
